Video 180: Aquablation Therapy:
Many of the minimally invasive procedures that we perform for prostate enlargement have certain limitations. The good news is that Aquablation has virtually no limitations. It can be used for any prostate size, at any age, and in a wide range of patient conditions.
We have prepared the patient and are using advanced robotic technology. With ultrasound guidance, we can clearly visualize the prostate borders, as shown. The robotic instrument is positioned above the prostate.
On the monitor, the prostate is completely mapped, allowing us to precisely define the areas that need to be resected. This step is performed by the robot, while full control remains with the surgeon. We carefully determine which parts of the prostate should be removed.
As demonstrated, the robot uses a high-pressure water jet to remove the enlarged prostate tissue. In conventional surgeries, this process may take more than 1.5–2 hours, whereas the same task can be completed by the robot in approximately 4 minutes.

روی مانیتور، پروستات به طور کامل نقشهبرداری میشود و به ما امکان میدهد مناطقی را که باید برداشته شوند، به طور دقیق تعریف کنیم. این مرحله توسط ربات انجام میشود، در حالی که کنترل کامل با جراح است. ما به دقت تعیین میکنیم که کدام قسمتهای پروستات باید برداشته شوند.
همانطور که نشان داده شده است، ربات از جت آب با فشار بالا برای برداشتن بافت پروستات بزرگ شده استفاده میکند. در جراحیهای معمولی، این فرآیند ممکن است بیش از 1.5 تا 2 ساعت طول بکشد، در حالی که همین کار را میتوان توسط ربات تقریباً در 4 دقیقه انجام داد.
