Male Circumcision: What & When?
Foreskin:
Boys are born with a movable fold of skin called the foreskin, which covers the head of the penis.
Circumcision:
Circumcision is a minor procedure in which the foreskin covering the head of the penis is removed.
Reasons:
Circumcision is recommended in some religions and also practiced in certain cultures.
Medically, it may be advised in cases of phimosis (tight foreskin), balanitis (inflammation of the head of the penis), recurrent infections, or for prevention of such conditions.
Preferred Timing:
Regarding the timing of circumcision, opinions differ.
In my practice, I recommend circumcision within the first month after birth or anytime between the 1st and 3rd years of age.
Delay / Avoid:
We may avoid or delay neonatal circumcision in certain circumstances, such as in the presence of hypospadias, a buried penis, bleeding disorders, or in premature infants.
Adults:
In uncircumcised adults, circumcision may be medically recommended in cases of phimosis (tight foreskin), balanitis (inflammation of the head of the penis), or due to hygiene-related issues.
ختنه پسران: چه زمانی و چگونه؟
پوست ختنه‌گاه: پسران با یک چین پوستی متحرک به نام پوست ختنه‌گاه متولد می‌شوند که سر آلت تناسلی را می‌پوشاند.
ختنه: ختنه یک عمل جراحی جزئی است که در آن پوست ختنه‌گاه که سر آلت تناسلی را می‌پوشاند، برداشته می‌شود.
دلایل: ختنه در برخی ادیان توصیه می‌شود و در برخی فرهنگ‌ها نیز انجام می‌شود. از نظر پزشکی، ممکن است در موارد فیموز (پوست ختنه‌گاه تنگ)، بالانیت (التهاب سر آلت تناسلی)، عفونت‌های مکرر یا برای پیشگیری از چنین شرایطی توصیه شود.
زمان ترجیحی: در مورد زمان ختنه، نظرات متفاوت است. من ختنه را در ماه اول پس از تولد یا هر زمان بین ۱ تا ۳ سالگی توصیه می‌کنم.
تأخیر / اجتناب: ممکن است در شرایط خاصی، مانند وجود هیپوسپادیاس، آلت تناسلی فرو رفته، اختلالات خونریزی یا در نوزادان نارس، از ختنه نوزادان خودداری کنیم یا آن را به تأخیر بیندازیم.
بزرگسالان: در بزرگسالان ختنه نشده، ختنه ممکن است از نظر پزشکی در موارد فیموز (پوست ختنه‌گاه تنگ)، بالانیت (التهاب سر آلت تناسلی) یا به دلیل مسائل بهداشتی توصیه شود.
